“Continue to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.”
Step 10 suggests we continue to take personal inventory. We vigilantly commenced this way of living as we continue to clean up clean up the set right any new mistakes as we go along. We have entered the world of the Holy Spirit.
“Our next function is to grow in understanding and effectiveness. This is not an overnight matter. It should continue for our lifetime.”
Continue to:
1. Watch for selfishness, dishonesty, resentment, and fear.
2. When these crop up, we ask God at once to remove them.
3. We discuss them with someone immediately,
4. and make amends quickly if we have harmed anyone.
5. Then we resolutely turn our thoughts to someone we can help. Love and tolerance of others is our code.
Do I do a daily inventory? If so, why. If not, why not?
Take an inventory right now. Where have you been in the last 24 hours selfishness, dishonesty, resentment, and/or afraid?
Where have I been wrong in thought, word, and deeds? What have I neglected to do that needs to be addressed? Do I own an amend to someone?
Discuss your list with your Recovery partner. Together ask God to search your heart and help you correct any wrongs that have occurred.
