“Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps (and following Jesus), we tried to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all our affairs”
Step 12 is about sharing Jesus’s message while helping others in overcoming addiction and barriers to their connection with Him. It emphasizes supporting fellow strugglers, fostering community, and sustaining spiritual progress. Practical experience reveals that actively serving others is key to recovery and spiritual development. Engaging in service gives life new purpose and brings about profound personal growth. Witnessing others recover, alleviating loneliness, building fellowship, and forming lasting friendships are experiences not to be missed. Regular interaction with newcomers and believers brightens our lives.

Bible verses to consider:
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13–14
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 4:10–11
