Scripture Reading
“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress; I will not be shaken.” Psalm 62:5-6 NIV
Thought For the Day
In life’s storms, our instinct is often to act quickly, relying on our own strength. But what if God asks us to wait? During these times of apparent silence, it’s wise to pause and listen for His direction. He has a purpose and knows the perfect timing for our actions. It takes more strength to be still in the storm than to frantically seek our own solutions.
Meditation for the Day
Impatience often leads me to act hastily. But Jesus calls us to trust in God’s timing, as Paul advises in Acts 4: to “Be anxious for nothing” and to pray for God’s peace. As Christ-followers, we should patiently rely on God’s wisdom, love, power, and timing. How well do I find rest in God and wait paitiently in the storms of life?
Prayer for the day
Dear JESUS, help me to realize the truth in knowing that lasting peace in life’s storms lies in waiting on YOU alone. YOU hear my prayers, so I pray that YOU will lead me to trust in YOU entirely. As I pray for patience and listen for YOUR response, may I not be shaken but rather strengthened, as I go out into this world to do the Heavenly FATHER’S will. Amen.
