Scripture Reading

Luke 2:8-10

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people”.

Thought For The Day

This divine proclamation is a symphony of grace, resonating through the ages. The shepherds, representing the marginalized and humble, become the first audience of the greatest news humanity has ever received. In this revelation, God’s boundless love and inclusive salvation shine forth. The birth of Jesus is not an event reserved for the privileged; it is a gift for all. Do I truly appreciate the wonder and awe of God’s gift of His Son, Jesus?

Meditation for the Day

I, YOUR LORD, was given as a gift to this world as a demonstration of the FATHER’s full grace and boundless love. By coming to provide salvation to all, MY birth reveals the extent by which the FATHER demands justice and requires the removal of all guilt and condemnation in order for everyone to be fully in HIS presence and saved from their sins.

Prayer for the day

My LORD, I pray that I will truly appreciate the wonder and the awe of YOUR gift of YOUR SON, JESUS. May I please YOU with my efforts today to love others as YOU have loved us.
