Scripture Reading
“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NIV
Thought For the Day
Each of us is born sinful and selfish, which is the exact opposite of a God-honoring lifestyle. But at the moment of salvation, God begins the work in us to bend our will and ways back towards Him. It is imperative that we cooperate and yield to this process, otherwise, it will be impossible to be used for Kingdom work.
Meditation for the Day
The Lord wants to remove every thought pattern and activity, anything in our life that we depend on other than Him. This means relying on ourselves for security, salvation, or physical and emotional comfort is outside His will. Actions where we take advantage of others to get ahead in life are also ungodly. In areas where we resist bending toward the Lord, He may break us by allowing pain into our lives. As a result, we are driven to Him in surrender. Do I see the benefits He has brought about through my own hardships; Do I thank Him for every period of brokenness I have experienced?
Prayer for the day
Dear HEAVENLY FATHER, I pray for YOUR truth will shine in area each of my life uncovering the areas of self-focus that need to be bent or broken by YOUR hand. I ask you to help me to surrender to YOUR work in my life as follow JESUS and become a wiser, more useful servant. Thank you FATHER, in JESUS’ name I pray. Amen
