“Made a Decision to Turn Our Will and Our Lives Over to Care of God”.
Part 2 – To Turn Our Will Over:
Devotional: Not My Way, But Yours
Surrendering our will means laying down our need to be in charge. It means acknowledging that our way hasn’t worked—and that God’s way is better, even when it’s unfamiliar.
This isn’t passive resignation—it’s active trust. It’s saying, “God, You lead. I’ll follow.” It’s releasing the pride, fear, and self-reliance that have kept us stuck.
Turning our will over is a daily choice to follow Jesus, even when it costs us control.
Bible Example:
Jesus in the Garden – Luke 22:39–46
On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus prayed in anguish—and still chose surrender.
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” – Luke 22:42
Even Jesus surrendered His will to the Father—and trusted Him fully.
