Scripture Reading

Galatians 5:16-17

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

Thought For the Day

The longer I am with JESUS, the more natural HIS way of life seems. My old thinking and lives peel away. I’ve learned that my present walk alongside the LORD is the most natural way I could possibly live. During the early years in my sin, my life wasn’t so different from the lives of a lot of other people. I became further ensnared by my sin and brokenness— drifting me farther away from HIM. Do I realize when I am drifting away?

Meditation for the Day

What precious gifts were given to us by our SAVIOR. HE gave his live and bore our sin so that we could have eternal life and live more abundantly. HE also gave us the HOLY SPIRIT to live in us and to be our helper.  May I remember to not to drift away from being humble and saying thank you to our FATHER and the SON for everything, even the seeming trials and worries.

Prayer for the day

May I humbly express my gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon me by the FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT, including grace and mercy, gifts I receive with humility and acknowledge as undeserved. May my heart be ever filled with gratitude, and may you, O LORD, guide me to remain in this state of humble thankfulness, never drifting from YOUR path. In JESUS’ name, I pray. Amen.
