Scripture Reading

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 NIV

Thought For the Day

Grace is how God shows his love and favor to humanity. We cannot earn it or be good enough to deserve it. To truly appreciate grace, we must understand that our Abba, Father, is perfectly holy, just, and merciful.

God does not treat us as we deserve but extends His grace through Jesus. He alone qualified as the One who could satisfy divine justice. He took our place, bore our sins, and experienced God’s wrath so you and I can be reconciled to our Father.

Meditation for the Day

God made this provision for our salvation while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Have you acknowledged your sinful state and received His forgiveness through faith in Jesus? If not, then why not today? If you have, take time to express thankfulness for His abundant grace.

Prayer for the day

LORD, Heavenly FATHER, thank you for your grace and mercy. Thank you, FATHER, for your son, JESUS. I pray for your continued forgiveness, as YOU, through my following JESUS’ commandments, help form me through santification to do YOU blessed will. This I pray in JESUS’ name. Amen
